Visit to an Educational Institution Programme

Hello my dear students, I do congratulate you all for having joined for M Sc Nursing in Josco College of Nursing. As part of the curriculum of M Sc Nursing, we will be arranging a visit to Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram. I hope you all will enjoy the trip. Ours is one of the oldest training colleges in Kerala. It was established in 1960 by the late lamented Metropolitan of Malankara Orthodox Church, His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius. The college is Re-accredited by NAAC at 'A' Grade, and recognized by NCTE. The founder thirumeni was a great visionary in the field of Education. He had the great credit of studying in the Oxford University along with Dr S Radhakrishnan, the former President of our Nation. On this hill Mount Tabor, you can see a diara, where unmarried priests are dwelling. Secondly, a convent where sisters are being accommodated. There is an LP School, a high school for boys and a high school for girls. There are also two higher secondary schools. The training college is offering courses B Ed and M Ed courses. The sanctioned strength is 100. So, 200 students are studying here in two batches- first year and second year. There are four research guides in our college supervising students for their Ph D research. The college has a well equipped library with more than 12000 volumes of Books, 25 journals, both national and international, Reference books and huge collection of theses, M Ed, M Phil and Ph D. We have a smart air conditioned seminar hall with 100 seats. We have a well equipped computer lab with 25 computers with internet facility. The lab has a language laboratory. In addition, we have a psychology lab, a technology lab and a well equipped science lab. We have a well equipped physical fitness room. The management is the Society of the Order of Sacred Transfiguration, Pathanapuram. The present Manager is Very Reverend CO Joseph Remban, former Librarian of Mount Tabor Training College. Secretary is Rev Fr KV Paul, former Principal of St Stephens College Pathanapuram. Treasurer is Very Rev Habeeb Joseph Remban, former Head Master of Ponnaiah higher secondary school Tamil nadu. The management representative for our college is Rev Fr Philip Mathew who is also an administrative staff of the college. The management is extending all possible help for the effective functioning of the college. This is really a hill of transfiguration where our students get all round changes in their body, mind and spirit.

Three Day Trainers Training Workshop

My dear students, If you are interested you can attend a very useful workshop for trainers to be organized in Trivandrum on 10th to 12th December 2016, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Reg Fee Rs.2000/-. Accommodation should be arranged by ourselves. Venue is Hotel Highland, Thampanoor, Tvm.  Aadhidwani- A National Seminar on  Revamping of   Tribal Development  Projects in India  is organized by the Department of Social Work and STEPS (A Step Towards Establishing Prosperous Society) of the Little Flower Institute of Social Science And Health, Kaithapoyil, Calicut, Kerala on 13th and 14th of January, 2017.


PAPER PRESENTATION

National Seminar Participation

Hello my dear students, hope you all enjoyed the seminar participation in Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram. I congratulate all of you especially those who presented papers in the seminar.
